I've always wanted one. I just love devices that work without electricity. I love their simplicity and using my own energy to operate them. I guess this would fit under the category "Another weird thing about me." LOL
Well I discovered that my boys are fascinated with it too! If you want your children to eat more apples, just attach one of these handy contraptions to a table in your kitchen. You will just see that big bowl of apples simply disappear.
And though I didn't get a picture, husband's love these things too! I caught Jeffrey peeling two apples just for fun. (Some boys just never grow up!)
Blessings,
Lea

Yep! These things make peeling lots of apples a breeze! As when we are making applesauce! That 'treasure' was worth bringing home. :)
Peeling apples for fun! *lol*
How cool is one of those.. Can you also peel them, but then leave them 'as they are'? I recently bought one of those apple dividers.. just a set of knives you push over the apple to make 6 pieces (and core them) at once.
My little one LOVES apples, and since in Holland, we can buy them by the crate (50 pounds at once).. but I SO SO SO hate peeling fruit! (When I was small I only ate bananas because of that! *lol*)
Greetings from the netherlands!
How fun!!!! I love it!! LOL at your boys!!
Apple peelers are a lot of fun- and a huge help in the kitchen!!
Have a wonderful week,
Pam
I remember going to camp for a week when I was a kid, and my job was to peel "a million" apples with that thing one day. By the time I finished them all, I thought I was the world's best and fastest apple peeler!!!!
Looks like the boys will be helping with the applesauce!

I love mine, too, Lea. And you're right... it's so nice to have a kitchen appliance that men want to use, too! LOL
I've seen these contraptions at the old threshers reunions but never used one. I love these things, too. Did you see my cherry pitter?
Gotta go. I hear a granny smith calling me!
I wish I would have had one of the peelers to help me in the 80's when I got the apples free out in the fields. I just cut them open to check for worms and if there wasn't any I would cook them and put them through my foley food mill (also worked by hand) and made tons of applesauce. I wish I could find some apples like that again...The best tasting applesauce ever. Not much taste in the sauce you buy in the jars now:)

I have one of those! I should dig it out, maybe my boys would eat some apples! :)
How fun! :)

We have one of those and love it....so much easier than peeling by hand and fun! we have an old meat grinder too that clamps to the side of the table....those tools were made to last...ours is from 1898..
Love, love, love it. We grind our own wheat for cracked wheat cereal. I got the wheat grinder at a yard sale for $5. Great find. You go girl.
Hi Lea dear! I have always wanted a apple peeler to! Lucky you! Another thing I will be in the hunt for!!! That would be some kind of picture me riding the pink bike with the boots and jacket! LOL! Have a sweet evening! Hugs, Maryjane

Lea,
I just love those things! Been wanting one for years -- you're gonna make me break down and buy one (the next time, I see one, that is!)
